The role:
The Senior Consultant in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As) will play a crucial role in supporting our senior dealmakers across all phases of the transaction process. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile deals, providing strategic advice and comprehensive financial analyses to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial modelling, market research, and strategic planning, coupled with a proven ability to manage and develop junior team members.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Collaborate with senior dealmakers throughout all phases of the transaction process, including origination, drafting of deal structure and material, negotiation, and closure
- Conduct in-depth company, industry, and market research to identify and evaluate potential deal opportunities
- Develop comprehensive business plans, financial models, and valuations to support transaction rationale and pricing strategies
- Prepare and draft engaging pitch and marketing materials, such as teasers and information memorandums, to effectively communicate value propositions to potential buyers or investors
- Serve as a strategic M&A advisor to clients, assisting them in formulating and executing their strategic plans and achieving their long-term objectives
- Actively contribute to the development and presentation of proposals, providing insightful advice to both current and prospective clients
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth
The key requirements of this role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in Deals, Corporate Finance, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or related financial advisory services
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with clients and colleagues
- Leadership experience and a commitment to developing junior team members
