The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Undertaking quantitative analysis using cutting-edge models and analytical tools;
- Developing new models and techniques within our existing energy market modelling framework;
- Research energy markets (power, renewables and gas) including historical trends, future outlook, policy and regulation;
- Drafting high-quality presentations and reports;
- Support the full acquisition process of new projects;
The key requirements of this role are:
- Quantitative background and an advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Economics
- Basic understanding of the energy sector and how energy markets work (prior experience in the areas of energy systems and/or markets, energy policy, energy regulation, or analytics would be highly desirable);
- Minimum working experience of 2 years in the field of energy systems modeling
- Familiarity with optimization methods and/or programming languages and tools (e.g. Gams, Python, Matlab);
- Aptitude and appetite for using analysis to solve client problems, and clarity in explaining methods and concepts;
- Ability in handling data and numerical analysis;
- Desire to apply skills in the energy context (electricity and gas markets);
- Excellent command of spoken and written English (French or German would also be an advantage);

- Inter-personal communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment and under tight (timewise) schedules.
