The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Understand the current regulatory environment and interest in the future of sustainability reporting (including indicatively CSRD, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, ESRS standards etc.) and impact to the banking system in Greece and broader stakeholders and communities.
- Engagement in Financial Services Sustainability projects (ESG strategy implementation, sustainable finance, etc.) and work within a team of qualified and highly motivated professionals.
- Conduct market research to understand key ESG risks and trends in the Financial Services industry and develop a strategic view on how GT can support existing and new clients.
- Identify and respond to clients’ requests and needs in a timely, professional manner.
- Efficient management of project teams by implementing standard methodologies or developing new ones, for integrating sustainability and climate change related projects to our clients.
- Assist in drafting proposals for tendering of new business.
- Be a key contributor in assessing and selecting ESG data, indices and analytics for client’s sustainability reports or rating agencies requirements.
- Participation in ESG & Sustainability Thought Leadership initiatives
- Combine analytical skills and ESG expertise to provide critical insight and contribute our ESG business development strategy, implementation and management.
- Produce high quality client deliverables and impactful reports in accordance with our company’s standards supporting the achievement of engagement standards.
- Deliver excellent client service and maintain highest standards of business ethics.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks within multiple teams with the right kind of support.
The key requirements of this role are:
- Experience in similar position, preferably in a consulting firm or a financial services institution with minimum 4-5 years of experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental / Economic / Business Administration / International Studies.
- A Master's degree in ESG focused on banking industry will be a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of ESG reporting standards such as GRI, ESRS, ISSB and other related frameworks (United Nation Global compact, TCFD, SFDR)
- Any related certification will also be highly appreciated.
- Understanding of banking industry and recent ESG trends.
- Fluent written and spoken English essential, knowledge of other languages a plus.
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Well-organized, structured, and meticulous. Thorough and methodical approach to work
- Ability to build trust, and respect confidentiality
