Our team in Grant Thornton Greece is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Due Diligence Senior / Supervisor to join our office in Thessaloniki.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading due diligence projects for investments, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. You will manage deliverables, supervise junior colleagues, and provide clients with actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across sectors, while further developing your expertise in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and executing financial due diligence engagements related to investments, acquisitions, and transactions.
- Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing financial data and business information from target companies.
- Identifying key financial trends, risks, and value drivers.
- Preparing and delivering detailed due diligence reports and presentations for clients.
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior team members, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Communicating regularly with clients, offering clear insights and recommendations.
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all deliverables
The key requirements of this role are:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Economics with an excellent academic record
- A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CFA) will be considered a strong asset
- 2–4 years of professional experience in financial due diligence, audit, or advisory (ideally within an audit/consulting firm)
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles (knowledge of IFRS is considered a plus)
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
- Ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships effectively
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
