About Financial Services
Grant Thornton always focuses on providing clients with value-added, forward-looking advice. For this reason, a specific Financial Services Department has been established which combines expertise from all Assurance, Advisory and Tax Business Lines. This Department consists of dedicated and experienced executives who specialize in providing services to several dynamic organizations in the Financial Sector. Through a wide range of integrated services, we identify the needs of our clients and offer a genuine collaborative approach ensuring flexible solutions that can be applied immediately and effectively.
We do not stop designing new services and enhancing existing ones adapting to the challenging environment. Our key industry specific solutions can be summarized in the following groups of services:

The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Actively participating in financial due diligence projects by conducting in-depth analyses of companies’ financial performance, identifying key value drivers, and assessing potential risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
- Developing comprehensive business plans and dynamic financial models to drive strategic decisions and support key client initiatives.
- Supporting corporate finance, M&A, and loan portfolio transactions by preparing detailed financial analyses, transaction materials, and high-quality client presentations and deliverables.
- Contributing to the preparation of fairness opinions and valuation analyses
- Proactively engaging with clients, investors, banks, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze key financial and strategic information supporting transactions and advisory projects.
- Play an active role in special projects, driving initiatives focused on innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborating with colleagues at all levels — from junior team members to senior leadership — on client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members, offering feedback and helping develop their technical skills.
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BSc/MSc) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with strong academic achievement.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, ideally in audit, consulting, or financial advisory.
- Completion of (or progress toward) a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA).
- Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, Greek GAAP).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Proactivity, adaptability, attention to detail, and professionalism in client-facing work.
- Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
