About Deals
Grant Thornton’s Deals Services team is a trusted partner in high-stakes decisions – from Finance and M&A advisory to Restructuring, Valuations, Capital Raising, and Data Strategy. We support complex, high-impact engagements across industries, helping clients unlock value, drive transformation, and achieve their strategic objectives.
Our Business Intelligence team is an integral part of this ecosystem – turning data into clarity, insight and impact. From operational visibility and KPI tracking to digital reporting and strategic dashboards, we bring the power of analytics to every deal, every plan, and every strategic move.
The role in more detail:
As a Deals – Business Intelligence Senior, you will be part of a high-impact team that transforms data into strategic insight. You will work on fast-paced, cross-functional projects that support decision-making across the entire deal lifecycle – from operational performance reviews and restructuring scenarios to post-merger integration and digital transformation.
You will help design intuitive dashboards, model KPIs, analyze diverse datasets, and craft compelling data stories for C-level stakeholders. Working alongside professionals from multiple disciplines, you will deliver BI solutions that drive clarity, action, and measurable results.
This is an exciting opportunity for a young professional with a sharp analytical mindset and a passion for storytelling through data. You will be mentored by experienced BI consultants and continuously develop your technical, consulting, and communication skills in a dynamic, high-learning environment.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Prepare client-ready BI assessment reports with insights, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and KPI models using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Collect, transform, and validate data from multiple sources using Power Query or SQL.
- Translate business needs into structured analytical approaches, KPI frameworks, and reporting processes.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in BI development, data governance, and performance optimization.
- Create handover documentation, user guides, and training materials for client teams.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and feedback.
- Stay up to date with emerging BI tools, methodologies, and market trends
The key requirements of this role are:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar consulting/ analytical roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL; Tableau exposure is a plus.
- Excellent command of English and proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Collaborative attitude, problem-solving attitude, and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to continuously learn and grow.
- Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
Preferred Skills (not required, but a strong advantage)
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Prior experience in another consulting firm or client-facing analytics role.
- Project management skills; PMP or similar certification will be considered a plus.
- Understanding KPI modeling, financial/ operational metrics, and data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with DAX or other query languages.
- Experience with ETL tools and workflows (e.g., Power Query, SSIS).
- Solid Grasp of data visualization principles and dashboard design best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Google Data Analytics, etc.)
- Experience in performance improvement, process optimization, operational/ financial analytics, or supporting transaction-related projects (e.g. due diligence, M&A, etc.).
