Grant Thornton Greece is seeking a Senior Advisor to support a large, highly regulated organization through a long-term engagement focused on regulatory audit and ad-hoc regulatory requirements. This role is dedicated to one major client, offering deep exposure to a complex regulatory environment and close collaboration with senior stakeholders.
The role in more detail:
You will support the planning, coordination, and execution of regulatory audit activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulatory frameworks, and reporting requirements. The role involves hands-on analytical work, preparation of audit documentation, and ongoing regulatory support.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Support regulatory audits, reviews, and inspections in line with applicable regulatory requirements
• Prepare and review regulatory audit documentation, analyses, and reports
• Assess compliance with regulatory frameworks and identify gaps or improvement areas
• Support ad-hoc regulatory requests and follow-ups arising from audits or regulator queries
• Liaise with client stakeholders, auditors, and Grant Thornton teams
• Track remediation actions and support regulatory reporting timelines
The key requirements of this role are:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in regulatory audit, compliance, or external audit
• Experience in Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure, or other regulated sectors is a strong advantage
• Professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, CIA) are a plus
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Fluency in Greek and English, both orally and verbally
• Problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills
• Effective communication and rapport building skills
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
