The role in detail
As an Experienced Energy Efficiency Programs Evaluator, you will assess applications and supporting documentation for energy renovation funding schemes, ensuring compliance with program requirements and quality standards. You will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that promote energy efficiency and sustainable development.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
Review and evaluate applications submitted under Energy Efficiency and Building Renovation Programs (e.g. “Exoikonomo” and similar funding schemes)
Assess eligibility criteria, technical documentation, energy performance certificates (EPCs), and supporting documentation
Perform quality assurance and compliance checks in accordance with program requirements and regulatory frameworks
Validate technical and financial data related to energy upgrade interventions
Support the assessment, approval, and monitoring processes of funded projects
Communicate with applicants, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding documentation requirements and clarifications
Ensure accurate record keeping and timely completion of evaluations within predefined deadlines
Contribute to the continuous improvement of evaluation methodologies, processes, and operational procedures
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
University degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional experience in energy efficiency, building renovation, energy auditing, or the evaluation of subsidized programs
Strong knowledge of Energy Efficiency Programs, particularly residential and building renovation schemes (e.g. Exoikonomo)
Familiarity with Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), building energy assessments, and relevant technical documentation
Understanding of national and European energy efficiency policies and regulatory requirements
Experience in reviewing technical reports, engineering studies, and supporting project documentation
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent command of spoken and written Greek and English
