The role in more details:
- Platform Management: Oversee the daily operations of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability, particularly in service desk environments.
- Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications, workflows, and automation solutions tailored to improve service desk operations.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow configurations, integrations, and platform functionality.
- Collaboration: Partner with ITSM Consultants to ensure technical solutions align with business goals, especially within banking and telco contexts.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor system health, implementing enhancements to improve performance and user experience.
- Upgrades & Enhancements: Manage platform upgrades, patches, and the deployment of new features.
- Integration Projects: Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other IT systems and third-party applications to streamline operations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in ITSM engineering with a focus on ServiceNow and service desk operations.
- Previous experience in the banking or telecommunications sectors is highly desirable.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and ITSM processes.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies relevant to ServiceNow development.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on the ServiceNow platform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules like Asset Management, CMDB, and Knowledge Management, will be consider as a strong asset
- Experience with API integrations and scripting within ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms, will be consider as a strong asset
- Understanding of cloud technologies and their integration with ServiceNow, will be consider as a strong asset
- Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies is a plus.
- Effective communication and rapport building skills
- Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
- An extremely high work ethic
- Motivation for career progression and development
