About Deals
Grant Thornton’s Deals Services team is a trusted partner in high-stakes decisions – from Finance and M&A advisory to Restructuring, Valuations, Capital Raising, and Data Strategy. We support complex, high-impact engagements across industries, helping clients unlock value, drive transformation, and achieve their strategic objectives.
Our Business Intelligence team is an integral part of this ecosystem – turning data into clarity, insight and impact. From operational visibility and KPI tracking to digital reporting and strategic dashboards, we bring the power of analytics to every deal, every plan, and every strategic move.
The role in more detail:
As a Deals – Business Intelligence Associate, you will be part of a high-impact team that transforms data into strategic insight. You will work on fast-paced, cross-functional projects that support decision-making across the entire deal lifecycle – from operational performance reviews and restructuring scenarios to post-merger integration and digital transformation.
You will help design intuitive dashboards, model KPIs, analyze diverse datasets, and craft compelling data stories for C-level stakeholders. Working alongside professionals from multiple disciplines, you will deliver BI solutions that drive clarity, action, and measurable results.
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior professional with a sharp analytical mindset and a passion for storytelling through data. You will be mentored by experienced BI consultants and continuously develop your technical, consulting, and communication skills in a dynamic, high-learning environment.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Prepare, transform, and validate data from various sources using Power Query or SQL.
- Translate client requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
- Apply best practices in BI development, data governance, and performance optimization.
- Create user manuals, handover documentation, and training materials.
- Stay current with emerging BI tools, trends, and methodologies. analytics.
- Contribute to internal and external presentation materials and project documentation.
The key requirements of this role are:
- 1 - 3 years of experience or internships in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL; Tableau exposure is a plus.
- Excellent command of English and MS Office.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Collaborative attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Self-driven, motivated to learn, and comfortable in a project-based environment.
- Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable)
Preferred Skills (not required, but a strong advantage)
- Knowledge of data modeling, KPIs, and business metrics.
- Familiarity with DAX or other query languages.
- Understanding of ETL tools and workflows (e.g., Power Query, SSIS).
- Understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Exposure to data visualization best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Google Data Analytics)
- Interest in financial, operational, or strategic analytics use cases.
