About the Business Plan team:
The Business Plan team is part of Deals Services, which belongs to the Advisory Services department of Grant Thornton Greece, and undertakes the preparation and evaluation of business and investment plans, the assessment of funding opportunities through national and European programs (such as RRF, ESPA, and the Development Law), as well as the provision of strategic advice to clients seeking to optimize their investment initiatives. The team works closely with organizations across various sectors, supporting them in designing sustainable growth strategies, securing financing, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
The role in more detail:
- Involvement in projects funded through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF)
- Evaluation of investments against the relevant eligibility criteria. Responsible for compiling the application file, supporting documents, etc.
- Guiding and supporting junior team members in their day-to-day work, providing feedback, and promoting their technical development
- Overseeing the preparation of reports and client presentations, ensuring quality, consistency, and clarity
- Participating in client meetings and discussions, contributing to the delivery of actionable recommendations
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
- Experience in the application and understanding of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER)
- Good knowledge of the State Aid framework under the De Minimis Regulation and the relevant eligibility process
- Experience in the management or monitoring of European or National funding programs, such as the Development Law, NSRF (ESPA), or similar investment incentive tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Economics with an excellent academic record
- Minimum of 2 years (for Senior level) to 5 years (for Manager level) of relevant professional experience
- Familiarity with and solid understanding of financial accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal (rapport-building) abilities
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality services and solutions
- A strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
- Motivation for career growth and continuous development
- Military service completed (if applicable)
