The role in more details:
The Deals Services of Grant Thornton Greece is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Assistant / Associate Advisor to join our Deals Services team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the audiovisual productions that are related to Government and other Grants and rebates. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, you will offer critical insights and support to our clients of the audiovisual sector (Media, Cinema, TV Channels & Production Companies). This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As part of the Deals, your role will involve conducting in-depth monitoring in accounting records, audit on invoices & payroll expenses, payments in accordance with contracts in order to figure out whether those expenses as a whole are eligible for the purposes of funding of the Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center (Creative Greece). Additionally, you will have the chance to enhance your skills through continuous learning and professional development, positioning yourself for growth and advancement in your career.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Collect and grouping all the relevant invoices from our customers.
Prepare the relevant legal and accompanying documents that need to be collected in the initial submission of every investment plan.
Manage deficiencies / failures in accounting records, identify them & propose solutions.
Extensive audit in payroll, tax & social contribution for employees.
Review contracts with residential & non – residential customers in order to certify the validity of the expense as a whole.
Compare Budget Data with Actual Expenses of every investment plan.
Data entry in the excel file of the budget, check completeness and validity.
Assist in the preparation of reports to banks related to loan agreements for the purposes of the investment plan execution.
Summarize findings and provide insights & clarifications as a consultant in order to improve relevant business systems & procedures.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports.
Organize all the relevant documents for the completion of the investment plan and the collection of the final rebate.
Perform Digital File Organization of all the relevant documents mentioned above.
The key requirements of this role are:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, or Economics with an excellent academic record.
Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CFA) in any of the above-mentioned disciplines will be considered a strong asset.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.
Up to 1 years (Assistant) or 1+ years (Associate) of relevant professional experience, preferably in accounting within an audit/consulting firm.
Fluency in Greek and English, both orally and verbally.
Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
